Braselton, GA. – After a year-long hiatus from the series, returning Blue Marble Cocktails Radical Cup 1340 class champion Eric Wagner took home a class win and two podiums at this weekend’s finale at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

Wagner won the class pole during qualifying on Friday, setting him up to start the first race ahead of the other 1340 Radicals. The #20 Eastern Racing SR3 RSX lead his league throughout most of the race until the overall leaders caught up to him; with less than ten minutes to go, Wagner was hip checked by the #21 car of Alex Papadopulos at the top of Turn 2, sending him into the wall. Despite the incident, Wagner was able to finish second in class in Race 1.

In Race 2, Wagner sought redemption for the first round and found it, achieving the 1340 class win. Race 3 saw Wagner finishing the weekend with another second place finish, sending him home with a trio of trophies for his accomplishments.

"It was great to be back with the Radical Cup this weekend," said Team Owner Peter Dempsey. "We really enjoyed our time with the series last year, and being at this event with them was a nice way to finish out our year. Eric did a phenomenal job this weekend. He was the pace setter all weekend and really proved why he was last year's champion. I’m proud of the progress he has made throughout our test program this season. Overall, it was a great weekend, and I want to thank all of the team members for their efforts."
